Find the Xtream button in your player
Look for Login with Xtream Codes API on the IPTV Smarters Pro start screen. In TiViMate, the Xtream Codes type appears once you choose Add playlist. Other apps might say Xtream, XC or API login. If your player only offers a single playlist URL box, use our M3U guide instead.
Enter the server URL carefully
The address needs its http:// prefix and a port number on the end, in the shape http://line.example.com:8080. Nothing goes after the port, not even a slash. Most failed logins trace back to this one field, so check it twice.
Add username and password
Copy both from WhatsApp exactly as written. Capital letters count, and one wrong case is enough to block you. Name the profile anything you will recognise, such as IPPlayTV, Living room or Kids.
Let the first sync run
The player now downloads live channels, guide data and the on-demand catalogue on its own. The guide address travels inside the login, so there is no EPG link to paste. Allow a minute or two, longer on budget devices, before you start browsing.

Once synced, the app separates Live TV, Movies and Series, and shows Catch Up where channels keep an archive. Series open into seasons and episode lists, films are grouped into categories, and most players add search. None of that structure exists with a plain playlist in simple apps.
Set up favourites and a kids lock
Save shows and channels you use often as favourites. In Smarters, Parental Control lets you set a PIN and hide categories from younger viewers. TiViMate hides groups through Manage groups, and Premium adds its own parental lock. These settings belong to each app, not the login.
Use the same login on another screen
Another screen at home takes exactly the same three entries. How many can play together depends on the plan: one, two, three or five. Someone who wants their own favourites and resume points can add the login as a separate user.
Protect your details
Keep the login in a password manager or pin the original WhatsApp message. Anyone who has it can use your streams, so never post it in public groups or forums. If you think it has been shared, ask support to set a new password.
Switch players whenever you like
The account lives on the server, so trying another app costs nothing. Install it, choose the Xtream option and type the same three details. Favourites, locks and resume points belong to each app and need rebuilding once, but films, series, channels and plan dates stay exactly as they were.
Give each viewer a separate user
If two people follow different series, add the login twice in Smarters as two named users, or ask about a second IPPlayTV login. Each user then keeps its own favourites, recently watched list and PIN settings, so a teenager binge-watching a drama never overwrites the place a parent reached in a documentary series.
Troubleshooting Xtream Codes login: quick fixes for common errors
The player only has an M3U URL box
No problem: the same WhatsApp message includes a playlist address that opens your account in apps without Xtream support. Follow our M3U guide to load it.
Sign-in fails with the right password
Start with the address. Missing http://, a mistyped port or a stray slash after the port account for most refusals. If the address is perfect, check whether your plan end date has already gone by.
A warning mentions too many connections
Every plan has a ceiling on screens playing together. End playback on a different device, or allow about a minute for an abandoned session to time out. When this happens often, moving to a plan with more devices is the permanent fix.
It worked yesterday but not today
Because IPPlayTV does not renew automatically, an expired plan is the first suspect. A password reset you requested earlier would also explain it. A screenshot of the message sent to support on WhatsApp lets them check the account in moments.
Films load but Live TV is empty
Since films load, your details are correct; the live list simply has not refreshed. Refresh that section or sign out and back in. Still blank? Change the stream format option if the app has one, and tell support which device and player you use.
The film library takes ages the first time
Indexing 120,000+ titles is heavy work for an inexpensive stick or TV. Leave the screen alone until the first load completes. From then on the app works from a stored copy and opens the library much more quickly.
The player will not accept the URL format
Some apps want the address and port in separate boxes, while others expect them joined by a colon. Read the field labels. If there is a separate port box, type the address without the port and put only the number in the port field.
Series episodes show but will not play
Check another episode and a film to see whether the issue is limited to one title. If only that episode fails, report the series, season and episode to support. If all on-demand playback fails, switch the player decoder or stream format and restart the app before trying again.

What does API mean in Xtream Codes API?
It is short for application programming interface: an agreed way for software to request information from a server. Can support change my Xtream password?
Yes. Send IPPlayTV support a WhatsApp message and a fresh password can usually be issued. The previous one stops working at once, so update every app that uses it. Expect the server address and username to remain unchanged, which means only the password box needs editing.
Do MAG boxes use Xtream details?
Not in their standard setup. A MAG connects to a portal that is activated for its MAC address. Formuler boxes offer both paths inside MyTVOnline, portal or Xtream. MAG owners should simply request the portal address from support when ordering.
Does the Xtream login include catch-up and resume?
The login gives the player access to catch-up on channels that keep an archive, plus the films and series needed for resume.
