If it names Fire OS followed by a version number, you are on the Android-based system and IPTV players will install. If it simply says OS with a version that begins with 1, the device runs Vega OS and cannot load them.
Product listings do not always make the system obvious. Look for the exact model name, and treat any listing for the 4K Select or the 2026 HD model as unsuitable. If a stick is a gift, check it before the wrapping comes off, while returning it is still easy.
