Respect for creative work

IPPlayTV acts on valid notices sent under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act or an equivalent law in another country. When a notice checks out, the material it names is removed or access to it is blocked. The statutory requirements can be read at the US Copyright Office.
Sending your notice

Checklist for a complete notice
The title or a clear description of the protected work.
Where the allegedly infringing material appears, with enough detail that we can locate it.
Your name, mailing address and phone number, plus how you would like us to answer.
A good-faith statement that the owner, its representative or the law has not permitted the use in question.
A declaration, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to represent them.
A handwritten or electronic signature.
Timing of our reply
Complete notices are acknowledged inside 2 business days, and the named material is dealt with inside 5 business days. Incomplete notices get a reply listing what is missing, and we wait for those details before acting.
Disputing a removal
Anyone whose material was removed and who thinks the removal was wrong may reply with a counter-notice by the same route. It should carry the identifying details from the checklist above and a sworn statement, under penalty of perjury, that removing it was an error.
